Save, move and print a project

Organize projects and customers

Projects shows each pond with its customer, status and last saved date. Search by project name or customer details, or filter by status. Use Open for the planner and Studio for the 3D view.

Choose Add customer on a project row. Sign in to create a customer record with a name, email, phone number, address and notes, or select an existing customer. Click the customer name later to edit the record. Edits to a shared customer record appear on every project linked to that customer. Choose Unassigned to remove the link.

Customer contact details are stored privately in your account database. Project files contain a customer reference, not the contact details. Projects remain saved locally unless you explicitly save them through Account sync. Partner demos keep customer records in that browser's database.

Use New, Designing, Quoted, Approved or Complete to track progress. These are project labels; changing a status does not send a quote or message to anyone.

Start a pond

The three starting designs are Hero Pond, Tyrannosaurus Pond, and Golden Ratio Koi Pond. Each opens as a new project. New blank pond starts without an outline.

The golden-ratio rectangle holds an estimated 1,000 US gallons at its supplied dimensions. It has shelves 8 inches below the waterline and 10 inches wide, with a 36-inch-deep floor. Its outside dimensions are about 10 ft 2 in by 6 ft 3 in. Adjust the design for your site and check the resulting volume.

Save a separate copy

Edits are saved on the device or browser you are using. They do not automatically appear on another device.

Open Projects and choose More > Export beside the pond. The project file includes its saved photos. If a photo is unavailable, restore it in the project before exporting.

Keep that file outside the app's storage. Clearing browser data or resetting the app can remove local projects.

Move to another device

  1. Export the pond from Projects.
  2. Transfer the file to the other device.
  3. Open Projects there and choose Import project.
  4. Select the file, then open the imported pond from Saved ponds.
  5. Check the background image, dimensions and volume.

Importing a project does not establish ongoing synchronization between devices.

Compare designs

Choose More > Duplicate beside a saved pond and give the copy a distinct name. Open the copy to try an alternative layout. The saved preview includes pond outlines, site components and hose routes.

Rename changes a project's name. Delete moves it into Deleted ponds, where you can restore it.

In Plan, open Export and choose Get a printable summary. Review the plan and measurements before printing. Keep a project export as well so you can edit the design later.

Save state and Load state also appear in the editor's Export tab. Use Projects > Export for the complete project transfer workflow described here.
